We held a short presentation about participating in the youth exchange “Be happy, Be a Polyglot!” and all of the knowledge and experience we gained there, as soon as we got home. We presented this to our friends and schoolmates in our high school “Svetozar Markovic” in Nish.
First, we did a short introduction where we explained basic information about the project (name, location, topic, participating countries, number of participants etc.). Then while we were showing them pictures of the project we shared our experiences, what were our expectations and achievements of the project. We told them what we have learned from other participants (languages, cultures, traditions…). We taught them some interesting phrases and tongue twisters in all languages that were part of the project. We also explained to them what Erasmus+ programme is and told them about the opportunities it offers.
In the end, we played a few of our favourite songs in different languages and tried to sing them together. Our classmates had a lot of fun hearing about this project while learning little parts of languages they don’t speak and that made them want to learn more. They didn’t know that there are so many opportunities that the Erasmus+ programme provides and that they can be part of it as young people. It was really useful for them and they are looking forward to participating in future projects.
In conclusion, this follow-up activity was a great way for us to look back on the week we spend in Krushevo and we were excited to share the knowledge that we gained. We are glad that other people got the opportunity to find out about the programme and inspired them to contribute in the future.
