Like the previous days, the 5th day of our youth exchange “Be Happy, Be a Polyglot” began with a fresh and engaging energizer. After “Romeo and Juliet,” we split up into the teams we had established the evening before to complete the last-minute preparations for the workshop that would take place the next day at the Krusevo’s high school “Naum Naumovski Borche”.
We came up with a final presentation of the Erasmus+ programme with the use of brainstorming. To support this process, our experienced facilitators Damjan and Blagica presented us with the opportunities the program provides in the field of youth and how we can use it as young people and members of youth organizations. We learned about the aims, key actions of the programme and its features, the application procedure and the project cycle as well as got clear information on how to participate in Erasmus+ projects and how to plan and design projects of our own. To ensure success, we practiced the energizer and the student-designed activities. We took a quiz about the theoretical part of the Erasmus+ program after the coffee break to prepare us for the following activity. Teams were created based on the countries.
The first half of the day was very productive because many people are participating in their first Erasmus+ project and they acquired new knowledge about it. However, it was also fascinating to see how 37 participants from different countries were able to come up with a common concept and ideas for the workshop in the high school in such a short time.
