The target groups we wanted to reach are people who would like to participate in other Erasmus+ projects. We presented in front of 9 young people who are already participating in a volunteering project for 6 months in Târgu Frumos and we wanted to show them what they can do after they finish. They were interested in more details about the organizations from their countries who work with Erasmus+ programme, because they were all foreigners from Spain, Italy and Turkey.
We, as the Romanian team, decided that the best way to present the activities, but especially the information obtained in the project “Be happy, be a polyglot” was to organize a small event at our organization – ASIRYS that was the Romanian partner on the project. During the event, we divided the aspects we wanted to share with others into three categories.
- Games to get to know each other and to energize ourselves, games that we learned during the project. We used the game by whispering a word in another language and hi ha ho.
- Project Presentation
We briefly presented the activities we carried out on the days, including the aspects we learnt and what we liked about them. We showed pictures from each day. - Project activities
We wished to involve the participants so that they could have the opportunity to learn what we have acquired by learning about other countries’ languages. Therefore we made three separate games: Firstly we taught them numbers and the alphabet, then we did tongue twisters and finally we reinterpreted the activity we did at school in Kruševo.
We organized this event with the following aims and objectives in mind:
- to share the experience from our international exchange with other international volunteers
- to spark some curiosity and to initiate conversations about Macedonia, different languages and cultures
- to share the new activities and non-formal ways of learning that we learned at “Be happy. be a polyglot”
- to highlight differences and similarities between languages and families of languages
- to inspire others to participate in future Erasmus+ events
- to promote Erasmus+ programs and the partner NGOs (Asirys and CET platforma)
– Follow-up activities organized by: Iustina, Alin, Emanuel, Andreea, and Stefana
